Week 12 - 😬

This week was all over the place.

First, I messed up one run because I forgot about a work meeting - ended up running only 15 minutes instead of planned 30 and had to redo it on the next day.

Second, my right foot/ankle is still slightly hurting sometimes. It's not getting worse either, just hurting slightly, occasionally, during the day or in the mornings.

I had to do my last run of the week on Saturday and my food didn't really feel like it's up to that particular challenge. Plus I went out for a few beers on Friday and had a poor night's sleep and that of course impacts recovery.

Coach's guidance? Just do a shorter run and monitor the pain levels. That's what I did - ran only 30 minutes.

So, this week went off the rails and I didn't stick to my training. Instead of 30 / 30 / 50, I did 15 / 30 / 30 / 30. 😬

Coach is still positive and says everything is fine, but we are moving carefully. Next week I am to start with a 45-50 minute run (long run getting shorter instead of longer) and see how I feel. We need to make sure my foot and ankle are ok before we increase the volume.

And we're in April now. Big day is just next month. It's exciting and also scary. I'd definitely prefer things went according to plan but, well, I feel like I'm managing this as well as I can.
