Week 17/18

I finished a 75 min. run mid-last week. Slow and steady, got almost 10 km. My running pace will be a bit faster, but I'm looking at 2:30 total for the half-marathon.

The race is in ~7 days. 🏃

Somehow it starts feeling really real.

With coach's approval, I decided to just take the remaining days off.

I feel like endurance-wise I'm good. The biggest issue I feel are musculoskeletal strain and wear. My foot is still hurting - though it's manageable - but last week or two, when starting to run, my knees and ankles felt like they're rusted and needed a few minutes to start working properly. I think I need this time off.

So. That's it.

Prep work is done.

I just need to go pick up my starting bib (the little tag with a number you attach to your shirt) and one final short training run next Friday.

And till then - just rest. 🧖
